Senior Official - An official appointed by the Head of a DoD Component to be responsible for direction and administration of the Information Security Program. (NOTE: In the Departments of Defense, Army, Navy, and Air Force, this official will also be the "Senior Agency Official," as defined above.) AP2.1.60.
