Service Component Reference Model (SRM) - Service Component Reference Model (SRM) is a common framework and vocabulary used for characterizing the IT and business components collectively comprising an IT investment. The SRM helps agencies rapidly assemble IT solutions through the sharing and re-use of business and IT components. A component is a self-contained process, service, or IT capability with pre-determined functionality that may be exposed through a business or technology interface.
