Protocols - The rules used by both ends of a communication channel. Information system protocols using the Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) communication model have specific data packet types that are different for each protocol. Examples of transport layer protocols include, but are not limited to, TCP and User Datagram Protocol (UDP). E2.1.14.
