Trusted Path - Means by which a user and a TOE Security Function (TSF) can communicate with necessary confidence to support the TOE Security Policy (TSP).

DSS Glossary

Trusted Path - Mechanism by which a person at a terminal can communicate directly with the trusted computing base. This mechanism can only be activated by the person or the trusted computing base and cannot be imitated by untrusted software.

FIPS 140-2

Trusted Path - a means by which an operator and a TOE Security Function can communicate with the necessary confidence to support the TOE Security Policy.

NIST IR 7298

Trusted Path - A mechanism by which a user (through an input device) can communicate directly with the security functions of the information system with the necessary confidence to support the system security policy. This mechanism can only be activated by the user or the security functions of the information system and cannot be imitated by untrusted software. SOURCE: SP 800-53

NIST SP 800-18r1

Trusted Path - A mechanism by which a user (through an input device) can communicate directly with the security functions of the information system with the necessary confidence to support the system security policy. This mechanism can only be activated by the user or the security functions of the information system and cannot be imitated by untrusted software.

NIST SP 800-53A

Trusted Path - A mechanism by which a user (through an input device) can communicate directly with the security functions of the information system with the necessary confidence to support the system security policy. This mechanism can be activated only by the user or the security functions of the information system and cannot be imitated by untrusted software.

NIST SP 800-53r1

Trusted Path - A mechanism by which a user (through an input device) can communicate directly with the security functions of the information system with the necessary confidence to support the system security policy. This mechanism can only be activated by the user or the security functions of the information system and cannot be imitated by untrusted software.

NIST SP 800-53r2

Trusted Path - A mechanism by which a user (through an input device) can communicate directly with the security functions of the information system with the necessary confidence to support the system security policy. This mechanism can only be activated by the user or the security functions of the information system and cannot be imitated by untrusted software.

NIST SP 800-53r3

Trusted Path - A mechanism by which a user (through an input device) can communicate directly with the security functions of the information system with the necessary confidence to support the system security policy. This mechanism can only be activated by the user or the security functions of the information system and cannot be imitated by untrusted software.
